Introduction

Medical Access Limited is based in Chester, UK distributor of medical equipment and consumables. We, Medical Access Limited import medical equipment and consumables, solely for distribution domestically in the UK mainland (England, Scotland and Wales).

1. Purpose

We, Medical Access Limited are serious about our brand because it is part of our identity and so is our full commitment to corporate and social responsibility. We believe that transparency is the best way to ensure the public that we are doing our best as an ethical citizen. In that spirit, we have published this statement for slavery and human trafficking made in compliance with Section 51 (1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

2. Supply Chains

Medical Access LTD is committed to ensuring transparency in its own internal operations and in its approach in combating modern slavery throughout its supply chains. In accordance with the Modern Slavery Act, we engage suppliers who only have relationships with existing suppliers so that we can contain our supplier network and improve consistency in the ethical practices through the supply chain.

3. Responsibilities

• When engaging a new supplier, Medical Access LTD will assess the Modern Slavery risks by requiring completion of a 'New Supplier Questionnaire' detailing their internal slavery policies including but not limited to training and monitoring.
• Training for staff on how to identify signs of modern slavery or human trafficking.
• Clear guidelines for reporting any concerns.
• Regular updates on laws and our responsibilities regarding modern slavery.

4. Reporting Concerns

We, Medical Access LTD encourage anyone who works for us, or with us, to speak up if they suspect any form of modern slavery. We have a system in place for employees, suppliers, and partners to raise concerns safely. All reports will be taken seriously and investigated thoroughly with appropriate action taken if necessary.

Medical Access LTD is responsible for ensuring that this Modern Slavery policy conforms with its legal and ethical commitments, as well as that people under its control abide by it.
